- QR Code-based Tickets: Commuters can now receive QR code-based tickets directly on WhatsApp, eliminating the need for physical tickets.
- Smartphone Convenience: With a dedicated WhatsApp chatbot (available in English and Hindi), passengers can generate and use tickets on their smartphones, enhancing efficiency and seamlessness.
- Suitable for Airport Travel: This service is especially beneficial for national and international travelers heading to or coming from the airport, as it streamlines the ticketing process.
How to Access the Service
- Save DMRC's WhatsApp Number: To initiate the service, add DMRC's official WhatsApp number, 9650855800, to your phone's contact list.
- Generating Tickets: Passengers can generate a maximum of six QR code-based tickets for single or group journeys.
Ticket Validity and Regulations
- Validity: The tickets will be valid until the end of the business day.
- Time Limit for Exit: Passengers must exit within 65 minutes from the destination station. For exit at the source station, they should leave within 30 minutes from the time of entry.
- Booking and Cancellation: Tickets cannot be booked after business hours, and cancellation is not available.
Convenience Fees and Payment Methods
- Convenience Fee: DMRC will charge a nominal convenience fee for transactions made through credit or debit cards. No convenience fee applies to UPI-based transactions.
